Saft Batteries
A digital presence worthy of a century of engineering
A company with a hundred-year history, wholly owned by one of the world's largest energy corporations, deserved a digital presence that reflected both the depth of its work and the business's strategic goals.
SAFT's online presence no longer matched the scale or sophistication of the business. A company operating across multiple corporate divisions, with complex technical integrations already specified by an in-house IT team, needed more than a redesign; it needed a considered digital strategy, built from the ground up.
Measured and phased delivery
We began with a structured discovery phase: workshops and user interviews across all of SAFT's business divisions to understand their specific pressures and priorities.
In parallel, our technical team mapped the architecture required to deliver the numerous software integrations defined by the SAFTS IT team. From these solid foundations that extended into user flows, personas, high-fidelity prototypes and iterative user testing came a Drupal-powered website that brings together SAFT's products, history, and culture in a single, content-rich experience
A successful result
Within a year of launch, user numbers were up 89%, and page views had grown by 79%.
The relationship continued, and we went on to deliver the strategy, redesign, and development of the company's global intranet.
