IDRIC
Visualising a green industrial future
Industrial decarbonisation is one of the most consequential challenges of our time. IDRIC needed a way to make it feel relevant, explorable, and real to a range of audiences well beyond their traditional research community.
The Industrial Decarbonisation Research and Innovation Centre had a wealth of targeted content, data, and media to share — but needed an experience that could engage a genuinely diverse audience, connecting the abstract ambitions of industrial change to the everyday lives of the people it affects.
This project was a Silver Winner in the Creativepool Annual Awards 2025.
Exploration & engagement
Soak developed an immersive, interactive visualisation tool built around an explorable landscape, a stylised environment that users can navigate at their own pace, discovering content and media relevant to their persona.
Rather than presenting information in a fixed sequence, the design encourages curiosity, allowing each user to find their own way into the subject and uncover the role decarbonisation plays in their lives, the economy, and their future careers.
An award-winning result
A platform that brings one of the defining issues of our generation to a broad and varied audience and does so in a way that informs and educates without lecturing.
This project was a Silver Winner in the Creativepool Annual Awards 2025.
