DEN Digital Economy Navigator
A human-centric approach to digital economy maturity
The Digital Economy Navigator (DEN) is a global assessment tool enabling countries to understand their level of digital economy maturity, find opportunities for growth, and benchmark progress over time.
Our speciality is to make large and complex datasets accessible to all. We developed an interactive, online index - not only showcasing the headline findings of the research, but allowing users to delve deeper and uncover more detailed insights.
Print, digital, and animated infographics
In addition to an online tool, we developed a suite of materials for the DEN project, including a PDF report, and animated social media assets.
The online tool makes the headlines accessible and explorable, whilst the PDF report presents the whole detailed narrative and findings of the project. Visually, all the materials are tied together, sharing infographic and visual styles to help everything feel part of a coherent whole.
A framework for continued success
The project has continued, with the original tool providing the framework for further years of research.
We ensured that the tool we build was flexible enough to allow new research to be added, year on year. Now in its 2025 edition, the Digital Economy Navigator continues to be a valuable and engaging resource, allowing users to identify digital economy opportunities across the world.
