Saft Batteries

The Brief

Wholly owned by French Oil and Gas Giant Total, Paris based SAFT Batteries asked us to help them define and execute a digital strategy that would transform their online presence.

Our Approach

It was essential to understand the unique business challenges and operational intricacies of each corporate division, so we conducted a series of workshops and user interviews to help inform and guide our approach.

In parallel to this activity, our technical team also planned and defined the architecture for several, essential software integrations that had been specified by SAFT's IT team.

The output from these sessions (User flows, Personas and finally, High-Fidelity prototypes) were tested and refined before the final design and build phase of the project.


The new, Drupal-powered website provides visitors and potential customers with access to a wealth of multimedia content that showcases the products, the history, and culture within this 100-year-old company.

A year from launch and user numbers have increased by 89%, with overall page views up 79%. We continue to make improvements to the site and are delighted to be working with SAFT on the redesign and development of their global Intranet.
